The Traveling Times is a personal creative journal. We respect your privacy and have built this site to work without collecting your personal information. This policy explains exactly what data (if any) is involved when you visit.

What We Don't Do

  • We do not run advertisements.
  • We do not use tracking cookies.
  • We do not use analytics pixels or tracking scripts.
  • We do not collect, store, or sell personal data.

Local Storage

Some features save preferences in your browser using localStorage. This data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Here is what we store and why:

  • ttt-theme — Remembers your dark/light mode preference.
  • ttt-reading-list — Saves articles you bookmark to your reading list.
  • ttt-rs-font-size — Stores your preferred reading font size.
  • ttt-rs-font — Stores your preferred reading font family.
  • ttt-focus — Remembers whether you have focus mode enabled.

Newsletter

If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is sent to Buttondown, our newsletter service. Buttondown stores your email address for the sole purpose of sending you new articles when they are published. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Buttondown's own privacy policy applies to newsletter data.

Third-Party Services

Cloudflare Pages

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect basic server logs (IP addresses, page requests) for security and performance purposes. Cloudflare does not place tracking cookies on this site.

Bunny Fonts

Fonts are loaded from Bunny Fonts, a GDPR-compliant, privacy-friendly font CDN. Bunny Fonts does not track users or collect personal data.

Pagefind

The site search is powered by Pagefind, which runs entirely in your browser. No search queries or data are sent to any external server.

Service Worker

This site uses a service worker to cache pages for offline reading. All cached data stays on your device and is never transmitted elsewhere.

Children's Privacy

The Traveling Times is run by a young person, and we take privacy seriously. This site does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or anyone else. There are no account sign-ups, no forms that ask for personal details (beyond an optional email for the newsletter), and no tracking of any kind.
